Team 441 began involvement with FIRST in 2000. As the years have passed we have become involved in other competitions including BEST and C-Stem-Shell-Schlumberger Sea Turtle Competition. The team has ventured in to growing pains like every team with loosing the senior members, mentors, teachers and rebuilding each year. This last season we lost the majority of the team to the universities, we wish them well hoping they come back to mentor the team and share their experiences of college life with the team members. We do not let our limitations overshadow our talents thus making us stronger each year. In 2005 the team had a total rebuild as all the past members had graduated. Thus our first robot was a small yet robust robot with only gears driving it. 2009 will be posted soon
2006 In building Thor II we found more experience in building a from end loader type robot with cutting templates out of the shovel with our logo on the front yet a power house capable of pushing over 300 pounds.
2007 Thor III we ventured out to adding pneumatics and vacuum with the capability of holding a robot up to 120 pounds.
2008 Thor IV with over drive we found a smaller robot yet lighter with a hammer for our thunder power to work
